being on the rooftop farms listserve brought me an email about Project Sunflower, a perfectly simple project for less grey and more green in brooklyn (or bright beautiful yellow in this case). the best part of this project is that it just entails giving away the goods for free (sunflower seeds), which is one of the most honest forms of voluntarism i've heard of. all he wants you to do in return is give the seeds some soil and water. so, not only do i like the green initiative behind, it, i love the simple generosity and selflessness.
